The base memecoin has gained 17% in the past 24 hours, with a market cap of over $2.1 billion, led by Farcaster Flower (FLOWER), BERF, and Degen POV (POV).
FLOWER became the best performing coin in the basic memecoin ecosystem, with a gain of 327%. This rapid growth pushed its price to $0.0002422 as of 3:35 AM EST.
BERF achieved the second largest 24-hour gain in the base memecoin market. Its price surged by more than 199% to $0.01026. POV ranked third with a gain of 89%.
Pola (POLA) and Weirdo (WEIRDO) also made it into the top five performers list. POLA gained more than 43% in the past 24 hours, while WEIRDO saw a price increase of more than 34% in the same period.
Investors appear to be starting to profit from the sudden surge in the prices of the underlying memecoins. FLOWER, BERF, POV, and POLA have all fallen in the past hour. WEIRDO is the only exception, with its price continuing to rise in a shorter period of time.
Brett (BRETT), the largest meme coin by market cap, saw growth of over 1% in 24 hours. This pushed its price to $0.1564 and brought the cryptocurrency’s weekly performance even better, to over 5%.
DEGEN has risen by more than 4%, while the price of BENJI has risen by more than 7% in the past 24 hours, becoming the currency with the largest increase among the basic meme coins with larger market capitalization.
TOSHI and CHOMP are the only ones among the top five basic meme coins that are experiencing losses.
This year, the basic meme currency is booming, which has also affected the pre-sale market, and more and more projects are choosing this network for release.
One of the hottest ICO projects is Base Dawgz (DAWGZ), which has raised more than $1.8 million in less than two weeks, following its previous fundraising of $1.6 million.
