Jump Crypto has launched a bug bounty program, offering $1 million in rewards to Solana developers for discovering flaws in its upcoming “Firedancer” standalone validator.
The bounty program, powered by Immunefi, will run from July 10 to August 21, and participating developers who are able to find bugs will be able to receive rewards from a $1 million reward pool.
Improving Solana Network Resilience
The Firedancer validator client will improve the performance of the Solana blockchain, and its release comes at a critical time due to a significant increase in network activity.
According to anonymous developer @CantelopePeel, the development of the validator client is progressing smoothly. The team is actively testing the first version of the Solana consensus and fork choice algorithm.
Firedancer will support high transaction volumes on Solana, ensuring the network continues to run smoothly during peak periods.
Despite this development, Solana price fell 1.2% in 24 hours, trading at $137 at 4:40am EST.
