Pepe the Frog creator launches new NFT series - new Peplictor NFT tops sales

-

Matt Ferry, an American digital comics artist and illustrator best known for his creation of Pepe the Frog, is back in the cryptocurrency market with another hot non-fungible token (NFT) series. Ferry has launched a new NFT series called The Peplicator, which has gained mainstream recognition in the NFT market.

Pepe the Replicator is taking the NFT market by storm
On March 9, 2024, digital artist and creator Matt Ferry launched his new NFT series, Pepe Replicator. Matt Ferry partnered with Chain Saw, a well-known crypto project that aims to create a decentralized peer-to-peer lending platform, to develop this new hot NFT series.

Pepe Replicator is a non-fungible token series with a limited supply of 22,065 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain network. At launch, the minting price for regular users is 0.1 ETH, while the minting price for HEDZ NFT holders is 0.042 ETH. ZOGZ and Pepe Open Edition holders have the unique opportunity to mint at half the price.

Matt Ferry drew his green character for a harmless online comic in 2015. However, the well-intentioned cartoon frog gained widespread attention in early 2021 and quickly went viral, becoming a globally recognized and beloved symbol. Its green face has appeared in countless memes, expressing many emotions and resonating with internet users from all walks of life.

Despite its universal appeal, Pepe the Frog was privatized by certain hate groups during the U.S. presidential election, turning it into a symbol embraced by the far right, a popular internet meme, an NFT hotspot, and even a viral coin.

On multiple occasions, Pepe has been tokenized on the Bitcoin blockchain, predating the popularity of Ethereum-based NFT series such as CryptoPunks. The growing demand for digital collectibles has led to the emergence of platforms where creators can publish their artwork as tokenized assets, enabling the trading and storage of these digital images.

Meanwhile, the Pepe Replicator NFT series continues to gain traction among traders and collectors. In the past 24 hours, the Pepe Replicator NFT series has generated $3.8 million in trade sales. The NFT series attracted 1,176 buyers and 1,123 sellers. The Pepe Replicator NFT ranks first in NFT sales, behind popular NFT series such as the Bitcoin series, the Exploding Box, and the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT series.
